Mighty Marching Tigers

The MMT performs at every varsity football game, delivering exciting halftime shows at home games, and brings its energy and precision to community events. The ensemble competes in multiple competitions each fall, where students showcase their hard work and talent on a larger stage. Additionally, the band proudly participates in local parades, such as Christmas and July 4th, sharing their music with the broader community. Participation in the MMT is both challenging and rewarding, helping students grow as musicians while instilling qualities of responsibility, perseverance, and school pride. Together, the Mighty Marching Tigers carry forward a tradition that unites the Oscar Smith community through music, performance, and excellence.

Students interested in joining must register in the spring and commit to attending all summer and fall rehearsals, as consistent participation is essential to the success of the group. Membership requires discipline, time management, and a passion for performance, but it also offers students lasting friendships, leadership opportunities, and a sense of pride in being part of something larger than themselves.
