Community Rewards

Simply sign up and link your Kroger Plus card to the Oscar Smith Band Boosters Club account and an help earn a small percentage of purchases every time you shop at Kroger. It’s that easy.

1. If you have not done so already, go to www.Kroger.com and register your Kroger Plus card online. If you do not already have a Kroger Plus card you can get one at the customer service desk at any Kroger.

2. Click on “Create and account” to register your Kroger Plus card, if you have not done so already.

• If you don’t have an ONLINE Kroger account click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New Customer?’ box.

• Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions

• You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email.

• Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.

3. Once you have an account click on https://www.kroger.com/CommunityRewards, confirm at the top you are LOGGED IN

4. Click on VIEW YOUR REWARD DETAILS

5. Enter the Organization Number (VN281) or name of organization (OSCAR SMITH BAND BOOSTERS CLUB (OSBBC)), select organization from list and click on confirm.

REMINDERS:

• Purchases will not count for the band until after your member(s) register their card(s).

• Do you use your phone number at the register? Call 800-576-4377, select option 4 to get your Kroger Plus card number.

• Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• How do I know if my Kroger Plus card is enrolled?

At the bottom of your Kroger receipt you will see, “At your request, Kroger is donating to OSCAR SMITH BAND BOOSTERS CLUB (OSBBC)”

• Does everything in my shopping cart apply towards my donation to the school?

Specific purchases that are excluded include alcohol, tobacco, postage stamps, certain gift cards, lottery tickets, fuel, sales tax, etc.

• Can I donate to more than one organization?

No, your Kroger Plus card can only be linked to one organization at a time.

• Will I still earn fuel points and all the other perks of a Kroger Plus card?

Yes, participating in the Kroger Community Rewards program only helps your school, it does not take away or diminish any of the other advantages of being a Kroger Plus card holder.

If you shop at Harris Teeter, this is a simple way of directing 2% of your Harris Teeter private label purchases to the Oscar Smith Band Program.  

There are two ways to link the Oscar Smith Band Booster to your VIC card:

• Link Oscar Smith Band Booster to your VIC card online - Together in Education website.  All you need is your VIC card and the Oscar Smith Band Booster account number (2034)   

- or -

• Shop at Harris Teeter.

• Buy the Private Label brand (store brands).

• When you check out, there is a One Time Process to link Oscar Smith Band Booster to your VIC Card.

• Register account number 2034 so it is linked to your Harris Teeter VIC card at the checkout register.

• 2% of the Private Label purchases will be contributed by Harris Teeter to the Oscar Smith Band Booster account.

REMINDERS:

Round up your online Walmart purchases at checkout to make a difference every time you shop! 

It's easy to set up in your Walmart account:

1. Sign in or create an account on Walmart.com Spark Good:

2. Navigate to the Account section, and click "Giving & Impact" from the account menu

3. Click "Select Local Charity" and search for "Oscar Smith". 

If no results appear, check that the location filter is a Hampton Roads zip code (e.g. 23320)

4. Click the "Select" button on the "Oscar Smith Band Boosters Club" result, then scroll down and click "Done! Start making an impact"

5. Toggle on the new "Round Up" switch

Round Up is only available for online and app purchases (not in-store or Walmart Pay), and you'll be able to opt in or out during checkout for each purchase.
